Support for Carers in Reading and across Berkshire

Berkshire Carers Service, formerly the Princess Royal Trust for Carers Service, provides information, advice and support for unpaid carers.
The Berkshire Carers service can help with:
• Information about benefits
• Information about health and social care services
• Emotional support
• Finding services
• Form filling
• Meeting other carers
• Planning a break
• Working and caring.
All the services are free to carers.

Reading LINk asked the Carers Service to provide information about what groups are available in Reading to support carers of people living with mental health problems?
Berkshire Carers Service meet to help and support Carers and promote involvement of people with a mental illness to coffee mornings and social events. Berkshire Carers Service will also re-launch a support group for mental health Carers in Reading and Wokingham in April 2013.
Carers can get help from our helpline officers via their free 0800 number or a home visit from one of the outreach and development workers in locality.
